Group Controller

For our client, an international service provider, we are searching for a Group Controller. The Group Controller (Dutch Speaker) will be an integral part of the client's financial operations and reporting in the Netherlands, responsible for the different brands. As a key member of the management team, the Group Controller will support the profitable growth of the organization through a commercially focused and data-driven approach, underpinned by disciplined financial management, efficient processes, and a strong control environment. This role offers the opportunity to join a large company with approximately EUR 400m in revenue during an exciting growth phase.

In this role, you will report to the Finance Director. Speaking fluent Dutch is required!

Team Management:

• Lead and manage a finance team 
• Foster a high-performance culture of excellence and continuous improvement
• Ensure deliverables are completed on time and meet the highest standards

Financial Reporting:

• Prepare and present regular financial reports, including P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
• Manage the monthly and annual close processes, ensuring all financial reporting deadlines are met
• Present results to management and explain all variances

Risk Management and Financial Control:

• Identify and mitigate financial risks
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies

Business Partnering:

• Serve as a trusted financial advisor to local business and Managing Directors
• Understand and address their financial needs, providing guidance and support

Financial Analysis:

• Analyze financial data and performance to offer valuable insights to local business and Managing Directors
• Enable informed decision-making by monitoring financial performance, measuring and analyzing results, initiating corrective actions, and minimizing the impact of variances

Cash Management and Treasury:

• Manage accounts payable and treasury activities, including all aspects of cash flow and intercompany fund management
• Ensure compliance with banking requirements and efficient drawdown against the group financing facility

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• Professional qualification (e.g., RA/RC)
• Big 4 background highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of Dutch financial regulations and compliance requirements
• Fluent in Dutch and English
